Wine Trail Weekends: February

2015 Wine and Chocolate Weekend
February 14th, Saturday – February 15th, Sunday
10:00am to 5:00pm

The Madera Vintners Association’s family wineries will host the Madera Wine Trail’s “Wine & Chocolate Weekend” on February 14 through 15, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Do something unique on Valentine’s Day! Enjoy wine tasting at each participating winery, chocolate sampling, live music, delicious food and gift shopping!

How it Works...

With your ticket, start your tour at any participating winery, either Saturday or Sunday. At the winery you will receive a passport wine glass & wristband good for wine tasting all weekend – both days! Taste a wide variety of local wines as you visit each participating winery on the Madera Wine Trail, and enjoy other activities and food which are available.

Transportation is not included in your ticket. Designated Drivers are always welcome and encouraged on the Madera Wine Trail, and they are always FREE of charge! Please notify the check-in table at your first stop on the Trail to receive your complimentary pass.To enhance your experience, no large capacity buses (30+ person capacity) will be allowed at this event. Ticket Information…

Tickets are $25 if purchased online or at these participating locations in advance: Participating wineries, Trelio Restaurant in Clovis, SpringHill Suites in Madera

Tickets are $30 if purchased the day of the event.

MVA

When you complete your ticket purchase online, you will be emailed a ticket. Please show your printed ticket, or ticket by smartphone, to any *participating winery any time during the event, Saturday and/or Sunday between 10 am- 5 pm.  At the event when you present your ticket at that winery location you will be given a wristband and wine glass.  The wristband will allow you entrance to all of the participating wineries throughout both days of the event.

(CRU Wine Company is not participating in Madera Wine Trail events. Tickets are valid only at participating wineries listed above)

Join Birdstone Winery as we celebrate our 10 year anniversary.  The 2015 Madera Wine Trail Wine & Chocolate Weekend experience at Birdstone Winery will include live music by “J.J. Brown” on Saturday and “Enchanto” on Sunday.  A delicious lunch will also be available from Chase’s Chop Shop throughout the weekend.   Great food, music, award winning wines, specialty chocolates and warm friendly people make Birdstone Winery a necessary stop on this wine trail adventure.

What is a Valentine’s weekend without a romantic setting? When you visit the award-winning Fäsi Estate Winery on the Madera Wine Trail, that is exactly what you will get. Celebrate your love anytime of the year with excellent wine in a beautiful setting amidst vines and oak trees on the Sierra Foothill with a grand view of the Sierra Nevada’s peaks. Join us at Ficklin Vineyards for this fun-filled event featuring Wine and Chocolate!  You'll enter through our historic adobe building dating back to 1945 where you'll begin your Port and Chocolate experience.  We'll be featuring award-winning Ports and plentiful samples from some of the best gourmet vendors in the Valley. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in our courtyard with heart-shaped pizzas fresh from Mattie’s Mobile Pizza oven. Taste our Raspberry-Chocolate Port duo affectionately known as "Truffle". We will be featuring special Valentine's Day gift packages and our famous Chocolate Port Sauce. Take your selfies at special photo spots throughout the winery. Enjoy our gold and silver medal winning wines such as our elegant Olive Hill Vineyard Cabernet, our barrel fermented Chardonnay, a refreshing Pinot Grigio and our sweet and decadent Port. While you’re here  sample artisanal chocolate truffles by Fab’s Delights Chocolatier, browse the exquisite artwork of Argentina’s Ana Conti and take a winery tour with Demetrio Papagni. This Valentine’s Day treat your sweetie to something truly special.  At Quady our sweet Muscat & Muscato wines will be paired with sweet chocolates. We will also have our Elysium Chocolate Sauce milk shakes.  Jessica Leon of the Vineyard Restaurant will be making some delicious crepes for you to sample. Doug-Out Cookies from Fresno will be sampling their delicious cookies. Madera local Golden Valley Cheese will have cheese made with our Muscat grapes. Cowboy Toffee will be here with their sweet artisan toffees. Project Survival Cat Haven will be out and pawagraphed wine bottles will be available in our gift shop for a unique Valentine gift! Plan on treating your sweetheart with a visit to SJWC.  We will be releasing our Toschi Vineyard's Pink and Red Moscato. There will be tasty treats from the Chocolate Dachshund, Terri Sue's Toffee, You Sweet Thing Jellies and Miner's Mix Seasonings. Plan on doing a little shopping with Granny Bea Homemade Soaps and Sheff's Bling Shirts. Purchase lunch from Bite Me Crepes, offering savory and sweet homemade crepes and enjoy live music on our gorgeous patio.  On Saturday the band Shockwave will perform and on Sunday the Rhythm Review Band.  We look forward to seeing you.
